The Official Biography
Fr. Gabriele Amorth died in Rome on September 16, 2016.
“At 91 years of age, 69 of Pauline life, 62 of priesthood, 30 of
exorcism.” This is Domenico Agasso’s synthesis at the end of
his investigation into the life of the most famous exorcist of
our times. Amorth’s life, however, was not only the life of an
“enemy of Satan,” but also of a protagonist in the recent history
of Italy. Fr. Gabriel lived this extraordinary season with intensity alongside the greatest of the time, from whom he received
esteem and respect. Agasso again: «Many owe him gratitude
and salvation. Priests, bishops, and Popes cannot disperse his
example and his lesson, but rather treasure it. […] The Church,
one day, will have to investigate the virtues of Don Gabriele
Amorth».
This book is an invitation to deepen the story of a man, a
priest, and a fighter among the ranks of God. A life that has
not yet finished surprising.
