Beginning of the fourteenth century. In a clearing in the
woods, at the end of a bloody battle between Guelphs and
Ghibellines, a little boy wakes up with a severe headache. He
remembers nothing of his life. Before even being able to figure it out, he runs into another boy who, ironically, also lost his
memory during the battle. They wear different shirts, so they
are enemies! But how did they get there? And above all, who
are they? The two argues to establish who is the other’s prisoner, but at the end they become friends and decide to go in
search of someone who can help them find their identity and
family. It is the beginning of a series of daring adventures that
leads them to run into shady adventurers, merchants, hermits,
poets, and beautiful ladies, until the surprising final revelation.
Matteo De Benedittis (Reggio Emilia, 1981) graduated in Literature in Bologna in 2004 and the following year he began
